Backlash

In the book Backlash there is a lot of conflict but there was always this one question that I always had. That question was Why didn't the mother just stop her child when she found out what she was doing? Well I think that the mother didn't want to stop because Lara's mom and Bree's mom don't really connect anymore so I'm guessing that Bree's mom was mad so she decided to also hurt Lara's mom child. The thing I didn't like about the book was just the mom part, but I guess that makes the story twenty times better because you wouldn't expect that to happen. The thing I also didn't like was that the mom hated getting the blame also but she doesn't really know how to handle it and she thinks ignoring it can help but it doesn't. So why did she act the way she did about this situation?

Tears of tigers

The book I'm reading is tears of a tiger by Sharon M. Draper. On page 63 there is this amazing quote and it says," it's dark where I am and I cannot find the light. There are shadows all around me and my heart is full of fright." I really love this quote because it's like saying no matter where I am or what I do I'm always going to have this fright inside me and its not going away. It also said " ..I cannot find the light.." This really stood out to me because to me it meant like no matter what I do I can't find the happiness I had before. It's also like saying I can't find the key to life anymore because without the light then what can you see now?

A gift that I wish I can give

A gift that I wish I can give is some time with my mom because I think she deserves that she works hard and she means a lot to me and always gives me what I want so I want to repay her and show her how much she really means to me. The reason I wish I can give this gift is because my mom is a busy person so it's kind of hard but that's something I want to do.

Quote

I really like this quote because it's saying why let people who only make you feel bad about your self and make you feel lonely and sad walk all over you and have them in control of you. This relates to me because I kind of do and kind of don't let people do that because to me I feel like yes I'm going to let them because I'm so gulable and believe what everyone says and then I don't because sometimes I have to put myself before others.

Backlash

In this story there are three different points of view Lara, Bree, Syd and Liam. These characters points of views are very important because they end up making the story ten times better. In the story Lara tries to kill herself which in my opinion is the rising action. The reason for that is because the climax is that the person who was bullying her was this guy named "Christian" by Christian I mean Bree ( Lara's former best friend ) and her mother. I mean who would have guessed it would be them and especially the mother helping. She took some pills and tried killing herself but it didn't work. So everyone on Facebook starts putting things about her saying " why would she kill herself over a guy.?" And she thought they might say , " why didn't the pills work.?" She ended up trying out for cheerleader and made the team but Bree didn't and she's beefing doing cheer for like 8 years. That why she decide to make the fake page and her mom too because cheer was her life. They ended up finding out who did it and well  that ruined there life somewhat. Wonder why?

Compare and contrast - The Outsiders

In my opinion I think both the movie and book are really great, It's just a really good book and movie. In the book it says Dally has blonde hair but In the movie he has black hair. The movie came out just the way I expected it would. Like the book gave so much detail I could imagine everything. In the movie I could see the connections the boys have with each other just like the way Ponyboy says in the book. The movie did skip some chapters but it also didn't leave out any important details for information.

The Future of Us

My book is called The Future of Us it's fiction but it's a really amazing book. There are two main characters, their names are Josh and Emma. The book is set in 1996 but it has some interesting about our lives today. In this book Josh and Emma used to be such closed friends but things changed when Emma had rejected Josh. Josh had came over Emma's house to give her this CD-ROM it's a CD that gives you hundred free hours on the computer. One day she had to sign up for this thing to get started, with her email and a password. When she signed in, it went to this page called "Facebook." The crazy thing is that Facebook wasn't even created till several years later. She calls Josh over so he can see, he ends up thinking its a joke. But, he finally realizes it's not, in Facebook it tells them their future like who they are going to marry and who they will become. Once Josh sees who he is going to marry he ends up believing it. In the future Josh marries this girl called Sydney Mills, she's one of the prettiest girls in school and very popular and Josh is happy about him being married to her one day. But everything ends up changing when Emma and Josh start messing with their futures.  Emma and Josh's friendship gets kind of ruined once again. But Josh realizes he still has feelings for Emma. She is to busy chasing after the "Hottest" guy in school but what if she doesn't realize Josh is the one she needs? Will they ever get to be with eachother?

Amazing food from my amazing culture

In my culture we have a lot of delicious food. One of my family's favorite food is Enchiladas, they are tortillas put in oil to make them kind of oily. You but some home made sauce green or red, I prefer red. Then you can put chicken, potatoes, or even cheese in it. We eat that as a family because it's the best thing about our culture, the food. They also have tamales, possolle, flower tortillas and much More.

Theme - The Outsiders

I think that one of the themes the author was trying to teach us is that people shouldn't be separated by how much money they have or how they look. I think this because if the Socs and the greasers didn't have money or looks to separate them, the Socs wouldn't have jumped Ponyboy and Johnny. Therefor Johnny wouldn't have killed bob the Socs to try to save Ponyboy. They also wouldn't have had the rumble and Dally wouldn't have got killed or all three of them wouldn't have gone into the church to try to save those kids and have gotten injured.

How this reflects on me - The Outsiders

I could kind of relate to Pony boy and Johnny because their life is kind of like mine. They are always quiet just like me not unless you get to know me. Like I could keep so much inside me it's kind of scary. I'm like Johnny and Pony boy because I feel like I have to run away from my problems like the way Johnny and Pony boy did when Johnny had killed Bob the Socs. I'm also similar to them because they both don't seem as they look. Like they look all mean and tuff but really they are nice, sweet and caring. In the book Pony boy feels like his older brother doesn't care about him or anything but then again Johnny's not wanted or cared at his house because his family abuses him and yells at him. That's the only time Johnny feels noticed at home. Johnny and Pony boy are similar because they both feel that way and both want to run away from their problems but then they realize that's not the right decision. The same way with me, I then end up knowing that's not the right decision because you will never get past that and maybe one day it would come back and haunt you. I also relate to them because Johnny has that sad look in his eyes and he looks like he's a lost puppy. To be honest that's how I feel at this school like I'm lost and don't really belong. That's why I could kind of relate to Pony boy and Johnny.
