Child trafficking

Kids being forced into doing prostitution, sex, slavery, and even kept just for entertainment. Why you might say? Well the reason is kids are being sold to "pimps" or traffickers because they think kids are so easily convinced into doing something they won't be proud of in the future. It's true kids can get fooled very easily but once they really realize what they are up against they can't do anything about it. When people hear about child trafficking they don't realize what it is but in case you didn't know it means the illegal movement of children, typically for the purpose of forced labor or sexual exploitation.

On October 25th, 2015 at 10:12 am the FBI announced on Tuesday the recovery of 149 under aged victims of child trafficking and they arrested more than 150 pimps in a nationwide human trafficking operation throughout the United States last week. The youngest to be trafficked was at age 12, 3 were transgender and only 3 were males. Operation cross country is part of the FBI's innocence lost national initiative, which began in 2003. This is showing child trafficking is still occurring in the United States and a lot of people don't see is as a big issue because they don't hear it frequently but it is.

Child trafficking is a big problem in the United States and people should be aware of it. This can happen to anyone and if people don't know about it how will they try to raise awareness and try to help out for people who are in this situation? The reason people should even try to help out is because what if the person wants to committee suicide or keep on doing the process of that just because they feel they are not worthy no more and no one cares about them and want to help them. They are really worthy because it's not their fault they were in this situation. Who would want to be sold and be in the middle of being thrown around and having someone be in control of you, no one so why shouldn't we have the privilege of helping out and making someone feel better about themselves.

Some people where interviewed about this subject and they were asked if they ever knew anyone that were in the middle of that and 5 out of 6 people said they didn't but at least one person did. They were also asked"if you had a way to stop it, how would you?" " I don't know.?", "I really don't know.", "I don't know." And the best responds was " I think that one way I can help is simply spreading awareness. If more people know about this issue they will be able to spot the signs of a child that has been illegally trafficked and get them help." The reason this is the best response because as you see the most common response what's "I don't know" so that is showing if someone where in that situation they really wouldn't know What to do. So when the person that was interviewed actually responded with an answer they even said"...if more people know about this issue..." It's clearly stating not a lot of people know about this situation and if they did they would probably be able to help stop it. " What questions do you get in your mind when you hear something like that happened?" Some people responded with " Some other things they do to children like what do they do when they get a child that has been sold? Do they rape them, sexually harass them." Another response was simply just " Why?" The other response someone gave was " I would wonder what would motivate a person to hurt children this way.?"

If you take a look at these answers of other people you can see they do have a lot of questions and concerns about this. Wouldn't you? If you knew someone was in the process of that situation or was in that situation you would want to raise awareness and get people to help out. Well there is, you can simply just raise awareness in any way you want to, you can also make a group or even join a group that is helping children who where in that situation or simply just call  1(888) 373-7888. By just calling that number you can still be helping out children in that horrifying situation and reach other people's attention and make this not an occurring issue all around the world.

                     The Hot Pocket disaster

At Lincoln Middle School, last year there was this fire in our cafeteria. The fire wasn't really big but it was a big deal. The reason it was a big deal is because there was like over six hundred kids in the building and it was also in the cafeteria were all the 6th grades were. If the fire was really huge and  there was kids in the cafeteria, then those kids might have not made it out alive. That's the scariest thing about having fires in schools.
Mr. Crews was the one who had caused the fire. The reason he caused the fire is because he wanted to eat. He put a hot pocket on the stove so it can cook, since he didn't want to use the microwave. He had left it there cooking while he went to check on the 6th graders in the cafeteria, before he knew it their was a fire.
He pulled the trigger so the kids could evacuate the building. A lot of the kids though it was just a fire drill but little did they know it wasn't. When Mr. Crews announced it wasn't a fire drill kids panicked, teachers where terrified and worried. He apologized to everyone because he has caused the fire and he didn't mean for anything to happen. He told everyone how it happened and people laughed. But what if something heinous happen? That's what no one understood.
